Basic job profile:
- All the cases/claims for relief assistance viz. house damage, crop damage, livestock loss, ex-gratia, restoration works of immediate nature etc received from various Sub-Divisions/Circles/Departments and those fall under the items and norms of assistance from the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) are processed on obtaining recommendation and approval from District Executive Committee, Yupia, Papumpare District.
- Awareness generation activities and capacity buildings on disaster management viz. mock drill exercise, sensitization programme are organized in schools, villages and circles.
- The DISTRICT DISASTER MANAGEMENT PLAN had been formulated and is updated every year before the onset of monsoon.
- The district emergency operation centre is made operational in the month of April every year during the monsoon period.
